Day off #1

First day of my three days off work easter eggstravaganza. Went for around some areas i tend to avoid unless it's really dry.



Descent to Phoside farm from Peep o Day, Steve and I once had a run in with a bull here too. The countryside is treacherous.

Spot the mild erosion here above Kinder res.


A bridge over a bog up on middle moor, although i suspect even the bog was dry.

Lots of lambs about, yes run my little friends, build up those leg muscles.

Off road commute

Thought I'd try commuting by mountain bike today and go via the numerous bridleways between here and Marple. It was a lot more effort but due to the brilliant weather, definately worth it. Don't think i'll do it every day though!


Looking down to Buxworth on way in, having climbed a very long hill.

Purdy trees near Roman Lakes on the way back.

Finally at the top of the hill at new allotments, was a long hot climb up fom New Mills.

Crazy Lapwing/Peewit doing acrobatics and making strange laser noises to scare off some crows. Also saw a heron, some ducks and a skylark. Great!

Mount Famine x2

Ran pretty much the mount famine race route on Wednesday, with a testing second climb up from Dimpus Clough.
