COW ATTACK

Eventful run this evening, started off with pulling some kind of muscle in my back simply by running along.

Then we managed to negotiate our way through the above field without casualties. Only for a raging fercious bull in the next field, driven insane from being removed from the lady cows; to charge at us (well run a bit in our direction saying MOO). Fortunately his fell running skills were poor so we were able to escape, leaving him mooing in the distance behind us.

After all that excitement we ran up over Kinder in the mist (this is Kinder Low looking amazing).

The resevoir and mermaids pool from around Red Brook. No bulls up here THANK GOD.

Thursday evening

Went for a run yesterday after work, up william clough and around the downfall. Stunning sunset, then we got to try out headtorches for the first time since last winter. I have a new one on it's way in the post. It is SLIGHTLY BRIGHTER than my previous one, which obviously made the cost entirely worth it.

Sun setting over Hayfield.

Towards Marple.

No photos!

Haven't done much running recently, for one reason or another. But have been cycling into work a lot. One bit of running I have done was the Lantern Pike Fell Race, which i did in 0:41:32 and came in 52nd out of 239. Here is a link to some photo's, see if you can spot me doing the special fellrunner uphill run (i.e. walking!)

Downfall

Ran up Red Brook and around the downfall this evening with Steve and Roy. Seems to be getting dark a lot earlier now. Soon it will be the dark depths of winter and this blog will consist of blurry headlamp dots on a black background.

Top of Red Brook, made for a good scramble as there is barely any water coming down.

I have never noticed the fact these rocks on the western edge of Kinder look like a wolf before. It's probably called wolfhead rocks or something.

View towards Manchester. Beautiful evening.

Rawhide

Only took two photo's during the Manchester 100 on Sunday due to being utterly knackered and also taking photo's while zooming along was too hard. Finished it in six and a half hours and raised £100. Thank you so much all of you who donated.

The feed stop dissapointingly wasn't a giant trough filled with oats but in fact a school. Lots of uber expensive bikes lying around, difficult to restrain myself from running off with one.

My bike was better though so I didn't. I know this is a bad photo but there are only two so you'll have to imagine it's good and captures the raw essence of large sponsored cycling events.

Secret

Run last week with Steve and Mike, visited one of the secreter spots of the local area, which luckily wasn't featured on that programme with Matt Baker and Julia Bradbury.

Waterfall!

Bet you don't know where it is.

This could be a clue I suppose.

Cumbria

Haven't updated in a while due to being busy at work and generally not getting out much. The pics below are from last weekend in Cumbria.

Alex milliseconds from hewing a poor defenceless log into two.

Driving a TRACTOR! Well I'm being a passenger at this point really.

Sponsor me!

Hello! Just a quick note to say I'm doing a 100 mile bike ride for Christies this weekend. It involves me getting up at six in the morning so that must be worth something! You can donate here: http://www.justgiving.com/Alun-Williams
