Downfall Run

Nice run round the Western Edge of Kinder on Tuesday night, took loads of photos! I think picasa is going to let me upload more than four (it's previous limit) too so here goes..

Another stunning evening. I've got used to the nice weather now and will be very grumpy when it starts raining again.

 

Rushup Edge Run

Got out today with Alex, Steve and Gill for a stunning run along the south ridge of the Edale valley. Wore my nice new shoes which wore a nice new hole in my foot. Curse you fell running trainers, why do you hurt me so?


The nice grassy ascent from the nation trusts "Basecamp", not sure what they do there.

Now I think these flattened bits of grass are made by lazy sheep. Is this reasonable?

The ridge, including Mam Tor, Back Tor and Lose hill, plus Hope cement factory - which i think looks like a bit like a white castle.

Evening run

Finally recharged the batteries in my camera! Here are some photo's from an evening run a few weeks ago. Clocks go back next week so post work runs should be a bit lighter.



Mt Famine and South Head

Made it outside

Laziness and minecraft almost made me completely ignore the lovely snowy day outside but eventually I managed to force myself out for a jog up South Head.



There was a surprising amount of snow about, it went in my shoes and made them wet.

Tracks of a big rabbit or maybe a hare that saw me and legged (hopped) it. I think it was a hare, but not a brown one. Although it was brown. Like this: Mountain hare

I can see people walking past this and going tsk tsk but I couldn't resist.

I think I have taken this shot about 40 times in every weather possible.

Sunday Morning Run

Went out early (ish) for run, pretty cold but a beautiful day.
